Portfolio
This collection features instructional artifacts I’ve created—eLearnings, short videos, job aids, written guides, and visual resources. Some originated as part of larger courses, while others were designed as standalone materials. Each asset addresses a specific learning need or communication goal.

Scenario-Based Training
Length: ~TBD
Tools: Articulate Storyline 360, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe XD, Vyond Animation Software, Canva Pro, Microsoft PowerPoint, MindMeister, Google Docs

Description: This scenario-based eLearning module was developed for The Check Inn, a hotel seeking to improve guest satisfaction through targeted staff training. The module places front desk employees in realistic guest interactions where they make decisions, receive feedback, and see the impact of their choices. Guided by action mapping and SME collaboration, the training includes interactive scenarios, mentor support, and a downloadable quick guide. This project showcases my ability to design immersive, performance-focused learning experiences that solve real business challenges and support measurable outcomes.

M.Ed. Instructional Design Projects
Length: 2 semester-long courses
Tools: Articulate Storyline 360, Articulate Rise, Genially, Google Docs, Google Sheets, Google Forms, Canva Pro, Google Classroom, Canvas

Description: These projects, completed during my M.Ed. program, demonstrate my ability to create inclusive, learner-centered experiences grounded in research and theory. My capstone project involved redesigning a university course to help future teachers develop effective online teaching practices, with emphasis on accessibility, engagement, and assessment. The second addressed a gap in high school history by creating a scaffolded module on gender and the appropriation of women’s work. Both highlight my strengths in needs analysis, alignment, and designing instruction that supports real-world application.

Story-Driven Training Introduction
Length: ~1 minute
Tool: Vyond Animation Software

Description: Step into the world of espionage with this intro video, designed to hook learners into a spy-themed, gamified escape room training. This opening video sets the stage for an immersive learning experience, blending narrative storytelling with interactive engagement. As the learner assumes the role of a secret agent, the training unfolds through episodic video segments that track their mission progress. It was built using animation, AI voiceover, and creative transitions. This video showcases my ability to use story-driven design and video to transform traditional training into something more engaging.

Instructional Video on Fiber Sustainability
Length: ~1.5 minutes
Tool: Vyond Animation Software

Description: This short animated video introduces learners to different fabric fiber types and their environmental impact as part of a sustainability-focused training. Created using Mayer’s 12 Principles of Multimedia Learning, the video is short and focused—designed to reduce cognitive load and maximize retention. Immediately followed by interactive practice, this microlearning segment supports engagement and application. This video highlights my approach to crafting concise, effective instructional content that blends animation, research-based principles, and meaningful learning experiences.

Onboarding Welcome Packet
Length: 6 pages
Tool: Adobe InDesign

Description: This onboarding packet was designed to help new employees feel prepared and confident on their first day. It includes essential information such as where to report, transportation and parking options, what to expect during onboarding, and a curated list of key benefits and resources. Developed with a user-centered approach and aligned to existing branding guidelines, the packet simplifies complex logistics into a clear, welcoming guide. This artifact demonstrates my ability to design practical, accessible materials that support a smooth and informed transition into the workplace.

Assessment Plan
Length: 15 pages
Tools: Microsoft Word, Canva

Description: This assessment plan was developed for a university-level online module focused on accessibility and Universal Design for Learning (UDL). It outlines formative and summative assessments aligned with clear learning objectives, using rubrics to support consistency and fairness in evaluation. Designed for undergraduate Secondary Education students, the plan emphasizes authentic, reflective, and applied learning. This artifact highlights my ability to design thoughtful, theory-informed assessments that support diverse learners and promote meaningful skill development in real-world instructional contexts.

Website (HTML and CSS)
Tools: Visual Studio Code, GitHub

Description: This website was created as part of my M.Ed. program and demonstrates my foundational skills in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. While web development isn’t my primary focus, learning JavaScript has been especially valuable—I now use it to create more advanced, custom interactions in Articulate Storyline. I also feel comfortable using simple HTML and CSS to create basic designs. This project reflects my ability to build functional prototypes and apply coding knowledge to enhance learning experiences through interactive design.

Custom Banner/Graphic
Tool: Adobe Illustrator

Description: This custom banner was created entirely from scratch in Adobe Illustrator, using tools to construct each element. The icons represent key themes in instructional design like problem-solving, exploration, and connectivity. This project demonstrates my ability to create original, concept-driven visuals that enhance communication and reinforce learning goals. By designing my own graphics, I can tailor visual messaging to align seamlessly with training content, ensuring both clarity and aesthetic consistency across materials.
